RETREAT: "WHAT HAPPENS AT MASS"
We had the joy of welcoming men and women who had come from throughout the Spokane diocese, as well as from Idaho! The retreat included several conferences spread over the weekend, the opportunity to join us in chanting the Divine Office and Eucharistic Adoration.
Guests were able to take time to walk the grounds of Immaculate Heart Retreat Center, soaking in the silence and solitude that the grounds provide. Others took advantage of the opportunity to visit and share their faith journey - how God is guiding them in their day-to-day lives. It was a grace-filled weekend as retreatants left with a deeper understanding of the Sacred Liturgy and with renewed spirits.
Sr. Mary Eucharista and Fr. David Kuttner answer questions following one of the conferences.

In addition to attending conferences, guests had the opportunity to join us in chanting the Liturgy of Hours. The Divine Office is encouraged for the laity, not only priests and religious! Blessed Pope John Paul II said, "In singing the Psalms, the Christian feels a sort of harmony between the Spirit present in the Scriptures and the Spirit who dwells within him through the grace of Baptism" (General Audience, 2011).
